In response to the recent federal layoffs impacting our community, we are launching the Pivot Forward Career & Hiring Event, a collaborative effort bringing together HR professionals, employers, and workforce development leaders to support displaced federal workers in securing competitive employment on Thursday, April 24 – 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
We are seeking HR professionals and hiring employers to partner with us in this mission, offering expertise, job opportunities, and career guidance to help these skilled professionals successfully transition into new roles.
Why This Matters
Federal workers possess valuable skills in administration, project management, IT, compliance, finance, and more—yet many struggle to translate their experience into private-sector or non-federal roles. This initiative will:
Identify career pathways in high-demand industries
Provide resume and interview coaching tailored to non-federal employment
Connect job seekers with employers actively hiring skilled professionals
Offer upskilling and certification guidance to make workers more competitive
Advocate for hiring initiatives that support transitioning federal employees
