2024 is a critical election year and while much of the media coverage, money and organizing is focused on Biden versus Trump, we know that ultimately all politics is local and it is critically important that we make informed decisions on who will lead the state of Georgia and DeKalb County.  New Birth in partnership with the AJC and WSB-TV will host DeKalb Matters: A Future-Focused Conversation; a debate between the candidates for DeKalb County CEO. County Commissioners Steve Bradshaw, Lorraine Cochran-Johnson and Larry Johnson will answer questions from an esteemed panel of media professionals as well as take questions from the community.

This exciting event will take place on the New Birth campus in our state-of-the-art MPR studio and will be streamed live on WSBTV and on AJC.com.  Taxes, education, crime, economic development… it all matters so let’s get serious about the future of DeKalb County.
