Prayer Dedication & Groundbreaking Ceremony Immediately Following Sunday Worship

Following morning worship, Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant will lead the congregation from the sanctuary to the land as we gather for the official Prayer Dedication and Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Birth Village—a 1.5-acre residential development on the New Birth campus and a tangible expression of Black land ownership, economic empowerment, and generational wealth.

This is more than a groundbreaking.  This is a declaration. This is a Juneteenth statement.

As we commemorate the journey from emancipation to empowerment, we will dedicate the land in prayer before it is broken, asking God’s blessing upon every family, every future homeowner, and every generation that will benefit from this vision.

Together, elders, faith leaders, elected officials, and community partners will lay hands on the ground and participate in a sacred moment of remembrance, honoring the sacrifices of those who came before us while boldly stepping into the future promised to us.

Experience the Vision

Guests will have the opportunity to walk through the future community, viewing staked home sites and renderings while learning the stories behind each residence. During the ceremony, homes will be honored with the names of Black liberation icons whose courage and leadership helped shape our history.
